Conway Stewart 388 Fountain Pen Blue Pearl Marble This is a conway stewart 388 fountain pen in blue pearl marble. It is difficult to date as this model was produced from the late 1930's through to the 1950's. It is 12.5cm olng and is a lever-filler with gold-plated trim. The barrel has teh imprint 'conway stewart 388. Made in england'.
The lever has the cs logo and the imprint on hte medium nib is 'conway stewart 14ct gold'. The cap has three bands, the middle one wider than the other two. The diamond-pointed clip has the cs logo. As can be seen from teh photographs, the pen is in very nice condition. There are no cracks or dings, the barrel imprint is well defined and there is minimal surface wear. The trim is very good with no brassing and the nib is lovely. I have overhauled the pen and replaced the sac. It fills nicely, holds a good quantity of ink and writes well. This is a very good-looking, fully functional, vintage fountain pen in nice condition. Whether to be installed in a collection or to be used daily, i'm sure that teh buyer will be pleased with it.
